
SYKTYVKAR, April 3 Alexander Bolshunov became the winner of the marathon at the Russian Ski Championship race, which ended in Syktyvkar. The three-time Olympic champion covered the distance of 50 km in 2 hours 9 minutes 29.4 seconds. Andrey Larkov was second (21.4 seconds back), third place was taken by Andrey Melnichenko (+35.2). Bolshunov is 25 years old. He is a three-time Olympic champion, world champion and two-time World Cup winner. At the Russian Championship in Syktyvkar, he won four gold, one silver and one bronze medals. In total, 12 sets of medals were played at the Russian Championship in Syktyvkar. In women's competitions, Olympic champion Natalya Nepryaeva won five gold medals.
