MOSCOW, Apr 2 Skier Veronika Stepanova said she didn't feel guilt for excessive media coverage, in which Elena Vyalbe, president of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), reproached her. Earlier, in an interview, Vyalba expressed the opinion that Stepanova was «sick with star disease.» The head of the FLGR advised the skier to train more instead of «trading her face on TV.» «Of course, I will not enter into a public debate with the leadership. I don't feel guilty, but I will analyze and take into account the criticism. In general, this is an excellent incentive to prove the right choice on the track,» Stepanova wrote in her Telegram channel. «As Ivan Alekseevich Bunin said, I'm not a gold coin to please everyone,» the skier added. At the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, 21-year-old Stepanova became relay race winner. The skier misses the Russian championship in Syktyvkar.
