TYUMEN, April 3, Alexander Govorov. Biathlete Kristina Reztsova, commenting on the conflict between President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation Elena Vyalbe and skier Veronika Stepanova, said that communication on camera and the media are as much a part of an athlete's job as everything else. Earlier in an interview, Vyalbe expressed the opinion that Stepanova «sick with star disease.» The head of the FLGR advised the skier to train more instead of «trading her face on TV.» Stepanova said that she did not feel guilty for the excessive media coverage that Vyalbe reproached her for. «Sport is for people in the first place. Why should I leave and close? I have the right to express my opinion. But everything needs a line. How many times have journalists pissed me off this season? Well, there were a couple of times ( laughs). In fact, I would not say that there were many jambs. Here the mistake comes not even from you, but from me. I am an open person and sometimes I say even more than necessary,» Reztsova told reporters.
