MOSCOW, April 3 Kristina Reztsova took first place in the overall ranking of the Union biathletes of Russia (RBU) following the results of the 2021/22 season, according to the official website of the organization. Reztsova, who became the silver medalist of the Beijing Olympics in the relay race as part of the Russian women's team, scored 1608 rating points. The second was Victoria Slivko (1182), the third position was taken by another Olympic silver winner Irina Kazakevich (1169). Two more participants in the Olympic relay race — Uliana Nigmatullina and Svetlana Mironova — became fourth (1157) and fifth (1007) in the ranking, respectively. Reztsova and Nigmatullina in Beijing also won bronze medals in the mixed relay. In early March, Russian and Belarusian biathletes were suspended from competitions under the auspices of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) due to the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine. In the overall standings of the World Cup, Reztsova (20th place) became the best of the Russians.
