MOSCOW, April 5 The Council of the International Skating Union (ISU) postponed the European Championship in figure skating 2023 from Helsinki to another Finnish city — Espoo, according to the organization's website. The ISU Council meeting was held on April 1-2. The European Championship was to be held at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, whose minority owners are Roman Rotenberg and Gennady Timchenko, included in the sanctions list. The tournament will take place on January 23-29. After the announcement of the Croatian Skating Federation that it could not hold the Junior Grand Prix in Zagreb from September 28 to October 1, the ISU Council moved these events to Grenoble, France. The ISU Council also approved the calendar tournament series «Challenger» for the season-2022/23:12-16 September — Lake Placid, USA (including pair skating); September 16-19 — Bergamo, Italy; September 21-24 — Oberstdorf, Germany (including pair skating) ; September 29 — October 1 — Bratislava, Slovakia; October 5-9 — Espoo, Finland (including pair skating); October 13-16 — Budapest, Hungary; October 26-29 — Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan; November 9-13 — Graz, Austria; November 17-20 — Warsaw, Poland (including pair skating); December 7-10 — Zagreb, Croatia (including pair skating).
