In the match against the New York Rangers, Panarin scored an assist, which was his 64th in the current championship draw. Later, the Russian scored another assist and brought the total number of assists to 65. The current NHL regular season is Panarin's seventh in his career. The striker set his previous best result in the 2019/20 season, when he scored 63 assists in 69 matches. It took Panarin 66 matches to achieve a new personal best.
