MOSCOW, April 6 Rubin head coach Leonid Slutsky announced the completion construction of his stadium in Volgograd. The new stadium is called Bombonera. The complex includes a large open field with artificial turf, a small roofed field, and a two-story administrative building. The total cost of the project amounted to 135 million rubles. «Recently, there have been practically no reasons for joy and pride. But I think that the completion of the construction of the Bombonera stadium will be of interest to many and will be able to give a little piece of happiness both to those children who are already playing with might and main football at this stadium, and those who decide to do it.I don’t want to describe the difficulties that have been an integral part of our life since October 2020 (since the start of construction).I want to say only one thing: the opportunity to do something necessary, bright and the present is much more pleasant than the problems that always happen in our lives to one degree or another,» Slutsky wrote on social networks. The construction of the stadium was sponsored by Slutsky himself, Vasily Berezutsky, several Russian companies, and people's donations were also collected. Teams from the Slutsky Football School will train and play on the Bombonera.
