As a number of sources told RIA Novosti, during the session it is planned to vote on a draft resolution suspending Russia's membership in the UN Human Rights Council. Kubiak confirmed this information. The main author of the project is Latvia. In the text of the document, which RIA Novosti managed to get acquainted with, Russia is accused of violating human rights. According to the draft resolution, the General Assembly «decides to suspend the rights of Russia's membership in the UN Human Rights Council.» At the same time, the text says that the General Assembly decides to «revise the issue if necessary».
