MOSCOW, Apr 8 Canadian defender Owen Power has signed a rookie contract with the National Hockey League (NHL) Buffalo Sabers, according to the team website. Power is 19 years old, he was selected by Buffalo with the first number in the 2021 NHL draft. Last year, as part of the Canadian team, Power became the world champion, having noted at the tournament in Latvia with three assists in 10 matches. He also represented the national team at the Beijing Olympics. Buffalo also has Swedish defenseman Rasmus Dahlin, who was selected with the first overall pick in the 2018 draft.
