The earthquake was recorded on Saturday at 21.22 UTC time (Sunday 0.22 Moscow time). The epicenter of the tremors was located 118 kilometers from the village of Abepura in the Indonesian province of Papua on the island of New Guinea. The outbreak lay at a depth of 49 kilometers.
