She was an inspiring talent and role model for her generation of athletes. Her participation in the Tokyo Olympics, along with her twin sister Sarah, will continue motivate girls all over the world. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and the Olympic community in Tunisia,» Bach was quoted as saying on the IOC's Twitter. Sailing Tokyo Olympics participant 17-year-old Eia Gozgez from Tunisia died in a training accident. The tragedy occurred on Sunday when the yacht capsized due to the wind. Eya's twin sister Sarra, who was able to escape, also took part in the training. Eya and Sarra Gozgez represented Tunisia at the 2021 Summer Olympics in the sailing competition in the 49er FX class, where they finished 21st.
