"India must decide on its own approaches to this challenge. We are consulting with all our allies and partners on the consequences of Putin's war, the disasters that are inflicted on the people of Ukraine", he said at a press conference after the meeting of the heads of foreign and defense departments of both countries.
“We believe it is important that all countries, especially those with leverage, seek an end to the war from Putin,” Blinken added. The Secretary of State noted the harsh statements of the Indian authorities condemning the deaths of civilians in Ukraine and calling for an independent investigation. He also praised India for significant humanitarian aid to Ukraine, especially medicines. Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on 24 February.
