MOSCOW, Apr 14 Serb Novak Djokovic's former coach Nikola Pilic criticized the suspension of the Russian athletes from international tournaments. In early March, the executive committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that sports federations not allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete. The IOC added that athletes and teams from Russia and Belarus can only participate as neutral athletes. «It's a shame, just a shame! Did they do something like that when the Americans invaded Iraq and killed more than a million civilians there? Were their tennis players banned from playing then ?» — quotes the words of a specialist Serbian publication Kurir. Pilic also spoke about the possible non-admission of Daniil Medvedev to Wimbledon, accusing the British government of Russophobia.
