Rescuers were looking for a resident of Novgorod born in 1970 in the mountains. «The body of Andrei Sazonov, a resident of Novgorod, was found today (on Saturday — ed.) in the afternoon in the gorge of the Gagripsh River, at an altitude of about 900 meters above sea level. Abkhazian rescuers searched for Sazonov for five days,» the report says. It is specified that local residents rendered great assistance to the rescuers. The search was complicated by the weather — a lot of snow fell in the search area on Mamzyshkha. «According to the preliminary version, Andrey Sazonov could have died of hypothermia,» the ministry suggested.
