MOSCOW, Apr 18 National Hockey League (NHL) Carolina team urgently called the Russian goalkeeper Peter Kochetkov from the farm club, according to the Hurricanes website. In February, the Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo terminated the contract with the 22-year-old goalkeeper at the end of the regular season of the Continental Hockey League (KHL). After that, the Russian joined the Hurricanes farm club Chicago Wolves. In the current season of the American Hockey League (AHL), he won in 13 of 15 games, reflecting 92.1% of shots and passing an average of 2.09 goals. In March, Kochetkov was named AHL Rookie of the Month. Kochetkov has a current rookie contract with the Carolinas, which expires at the end of the 2022/23 season.
