It is noted that the organizers are ready to reconsider the decision later if «circumstances change.» The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) became the first tennis organization to deny representatives of Russia and Belarus admission to the competition. Athletes from these two countries are allowed to compete in other Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and Women's Tennis Association (WTA) tournaments in neutral status. The Wimbledon tennis tournament will take place from 27 June to 10 July. The current winners of the competition are Serb Novak Djokovic and Romanian Simona Halep. At the 2021 tournament, the best among men among Russians was Karen Khachanov, who reached the quarterfinals, in women's doubles, Russians Veronika Kudermetova and Elena Vesnina reached the final.
