"In one of the liberated settlements of the Kherson region, Russian military personnel discovered and destroyed a fortified area that was occupied by Ukrainian nationalist units. As a stronghold, the nationalists used the brick building of the local secondary school, located in close proximity to residential buildings", the military department said.
A mortar and hundreds of shots for it, several thousand cartridges of various calibers, grenade launchers, portable anti-aircraft missile systems and NLAW anti-tank installations were found at the school. In the basement of the school, the nationalists equipped places for rest, cooking and a medical center, and also organized a place for making improvised explosive devices. The building was checked for the presence of explosive objects, all found ammunition and captured weapons were taken out for transfer to the units of the people's militia of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. Improvised grenades and other explosive items made by nationalists with projectiles made of self-tapping screws and nails were examined by military engineers, after which they were taken out and destroyed.
