MOSCOW, April 24/Prime Roskomnadzor, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, restricted access to the American chess site Chess.com, on which a link to a propaganda article appeared. Information about the blocking of the site appeared on the Roskomnadzor universal service for checking page and resource blocking in Russia. The reason for blocking was the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation dated March 23. Earlier, Russian chess player Sergey Karyakin in his Telegram channel called for blocking the portal because of a link to a propaganda article that appeared on it and the forced replacement of Russian flags by chess players from Russia. Chess.com is a site for online chess games, a forum, a chess social network, as well as the company of the same name that owns this site. According to Alexa.com, it is the most popular chess site in the world.
