MOSCOW, Apr 25 Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) in once again deeply disappointed with the position and actions of the International Skating Union (ISU) in relation to Russian skaters and the organization, according to a statement on the official website of the FFKKR.Earlier on Monday, the ISU decided to cancel the Russian stage of the Grand Prix series in figure skating of the 2022/23 season, extended the exclusion of Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in competitions under the auspices of the organization and submitted for consideration the possibility of making a decision not to allow members of the organization from Russia and Belarus to participate in the ISU Congress and the elections that will be held within its framework. In addition, the congress will consider the possibility of suspending the membership of countries in the ISU in the event of force majeure.» Once again, we are deeply disappointed with the position and actions of the International Skating Union (ISU) in relation to Russian skaters and the FFKKR. For our part, we will continue to do everything possible to protect the rights and interests of Russian athletes and all Russian figure skating as a whole,» the FFKKR said in a statement.
