MOSCOW, Apr 26 Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev will hold a meeting in Astrakhan on Wednesday topical issues of ensuring national security in the South of Russia, the press service of the Security Council apparatus reported. The agenda was not specified. The meeting will be attended by Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District Vladimir Ustinov, heads of regions that are part of the Southern Federal District, representatives of federal ministries and departments, the report says. Such meetings are held annually in each of the federal districts on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation. The previous meeting on security in the Southern Federal District was held on July 8, 2021 in Maykop. Special attention was then paid to the issue of environmental security in the South of Russia.
