File photoMOSCOW, Apr 27The water temperature in «most» Berlin swimming pools will be kept lower than before to save energy, the Tagesspiegel reported. «We want to do our part to reduce dependence on supply of Russian natural gas,» the newspaper quoted Johannes Kleinsorg, head of the Berlin-based pool operator Berliner Bäderbetriebe (BBB), as saying. Kleinsorg expressed hope that most pool visitors would «barely notice» the drop in water temperature. It is noted that the temperature of the water in the summer pools, which are heated using fossil energy sources, will be reduced by two degrees. The water temperature in indoor pools will be lower by a maximum of one degree. German Economy Minister Robert Habeck said on Wednesday that Germany's dependence on Russian gas is now 35%. Previously, this figure was 55%, the minister noted.
