The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) intends to consider the issue of the status of Russian clubs and teams and make a decision next week, the Championship portal reports, citing a source. It is noted that UEFA does not plan to exclude the Russian Football Union from its membership . Two scenarios are being considered: suspension of clubs and national teams for another season or maintaining the current regime «until further notice». Earlier, FIFA and UEFA suspended Russian clubs and the national team for an indefinite period from participating in tournaments under their auspices. Because of this, Spartak Moscow was unable to play the 1/8 finals of the Europa League, and the Russian team could not take part in the play-offs for a ticket to the World Cup.
