MOSCOW, Apr 30 New York Rangers Russian goaltender Igor Shesterkin took fourth place in the voting of observers of the National Hockey League (NHL) website for the title of the most valuable player of the regular season. 17 authors of the league website took part in the survey. Points were counted according to the scheme 5-4-3-2-1. The top scorer of the season was won by Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews, who scored 61 points in the voting. Four respondents put it in first place. Florida Panthers forward Jonathan Huberdeau (57 points, seven first places) was second, while Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid was the top scorer of the regular season (43, 3).
