MOSCOW, May 1. Russian biathlete Uliana Nigmatullina said that for the highest achievements needs more financial support than what she receives from the region and the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU). Previously, Nigmatullina told Match TV that she would receive less than a million rubles from the Udmurt Republic for a medal won at the Beijing Olympics, while representatives other regions will earn an order of magnitude more.

"Of course, both Udmurtia and the RRF are investing in me, thank you, but more is needed for higher achievements. This applies not only to me, but to the entire team of the Udmurt Republic. The main starts of the planet would not have taken place without the support of the state. And as I understood from speeches at receptions in Moscow, our results are important for society", Nigmatullina wrote on her Instagram*.

At the Beijing Olympics, Nigmatullina won a bronze medal in the mixed relay and silver in the women's relay «First of all, my task and work is to bring high results for the Udmurt and Russian sports, I try my best, invest all the time, limit myself in many ways and, of course, invest heavily financially in training. This season I performed satisfactorily at the Beijing Olympics. Everyone was very happy and proud,” said the 28-year-old athlete.
