MOSCOW, May 2. In an interview with MATCH TV, Chief Instructor of the Referee Committee of the RFU Nikolay Levnikov spoke about the income of football referees in Russia. According to Levnikov, financial referees lose to their colleagues who worked in the early 2000s. Also, in Russian football, there is still no medical insurance for referees.
"Today, the salary of RPL referees is 30 thousand rubles a month, plus a match fee of 115 thousand rubles. In 2002, when the College of Football Referees was formed, the bet per match was 90,000. But then the dollar cost 30 rubles, the fee was around three thousand dollars. The current 115 thousand is probably two times less. In terms of material conditions, a step back was taken. This is due to many reasons", he said.
