The opposition in For the second day, Armenia has been protesting against possible concessions by the government on the issue of ownership of Nagorno-Karabakh. The protesters demand the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
It is reported that peaceful actions of civil disobedience resumed on the morning of May 3, the participants block the streets of Yerevan demanding the resignation of the government team led by Pashinyan. Activists lit fireers, according to local media, the police have already detained the son of the second president Robert Kocharyan.
Note that the protest actions started the day before, on May 2nd. Today they will be held both in Yerevan and in the regions. Yesterday, the police detained about 250 people.
The opposition believes that the Pashinyan government intends to make concessions to Azerbaijan in the negotiations on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh. Prior to this, the prime minister urged Armenians not to «experience illusions» about the status of these territories.
