A banner depicting a Ukrainian grandmother who refused to exchange the Soviet flag for food from the Ukrainian military appeared on the facade of the building of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Krasnoyarsk on Monday. The banner depicts a grandmother with a red flag , which casts a shadow in the form of a sculpture «Motherland Calls». Behind is a fiery «Z» sign. The appearance of the banner aroused interest among Krasnoyarsk residents — they began to distribute photos on social networks. Local media also wrote about the placement of the banner. Earlier, a video appeared on Telegram channels in which an elderly resident of Ukraine and her husband went out with a Soviet flag to the Ukrainian military. Unexpected guests took away the flag from the woman and began to trample on it, after which they offered the woman to take food. The woman refused, saying that her parents fought for this flag. Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin called its goal «the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.» For this, according to him, it is planned to carry out «demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine», to bring to justice all war criminals responsible for «bloody crimes against civilians» in Donbass.
