MOSCOW, May 4. Colorado Avalanche beat Nashville Predators in opening game of series the first round of the playoffs of the National Hockey League (NHL). The meeting in Colorado ended with a score of 7:2 (5:0, 1:1, 1:1) in favor of the hosts. The winners included Nathan McKinnon (3rd and 47th minutes), Devon Toews (3rd), Andrew Cogliano (9th), Cale Makar (13th), Artturi Lehkonen (16th) and Gabriel Landeskog (35th). At Nashville, Matt Duchene scored a double (39, 53). Valery Nichushkin, the Russian striker of Colorado, scored a successful pass, he spent 19 minutes and 56 seconds on the site. In the regular season, Nichushkin scored 52 points (25 goals and 27 assists) in 62 games, showing his best result in the NHL.The second match of the best-of-four series will take place on May 6 in Colorado, the next two meetings will take place in Nashville .In another match, the Calgary Flames defeated the Dallas Stars 1-0 at home.
