Russian swimmer Evgeny Rylov will not contest the decision of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) on disciplinary punishment for participating in a concert-rally in Luzhniki, the press service of the All-Russian Swimming Federation (VFTU) reported. Earlier, the FINA disciplinary commission opened a case against Rylov for participating in a festive concert that took place March 18 at Luzhniki in honor of the Day of the reunification of Crimea with Russia. As a result of the proceedings, the athlete was suspended for nine months from international competitions under the auspices of FINA. Rylov is 25 years old, he is a two-time Olympic champion in Tokyo, he also has one silver and one bronze medal of the Olympic Games. The swimmer twice became the world champion, three times — the winner of the world championship in short water.
