MOSCOW, May 11, Vasily Bogdanov. Russian MMA fighter Alexander Shlemenko said, that the postponement of the date of the duel with Magomed Ismailov did not affect his preparation in any way. The fight in Yekaterinburg was originally scheduled for July, but due to Ismailov's knee injury, it was postponed. The press service of the promotion company RCC reported that the exact date of the rescheduled fight should be determined in May, with a high degree of probability the fight will take place in August.
"Everything is going according to plan, I am training, getting the necessary conditions. The postponement of the fight did not affect the preparation in any way. Still, this became known more than the pre-arranged date. There was an agreement for July. If Magomed were injured, say, in a month, this would complicate the situation. So no problem. Another thing is that the postponement of the battle somewhat confused my plans. Now we have to correct them. But in general, the preparation is progressing as planned, there are no problems", said Shlemenko.
