Student textbook «English for the Military» (English for the Military) by the largest British publishing house Macmillan was found at the Mariupol base of neo-Nazis from the Azov regiment «, the correspondent of RIA Novosti reports. The book outlines the history, internal structure, stages of the expansion of the NATO bloc, as well as describes traditions, rules, such as the military greeting adopted in the US and British armies. It also explains how to recognize the chevrons, stripes and epaulettes of the Alliance military personnel. The textbook helps to master the skill of reading NATO maps, for example, recognizing standard NATO symbols used to schematically designate various types of military units and fortifications applied to a terrain map. On one of the pages of the textbook Hitler's Field Marshal of the Second World War, Erwin Rommel, was put by the authors on a par with Alexander Suvorov, George Washington and Admiral Nelson. To systematize educational materials, in parallel with the classical pagination, the NATO phonetic alphabet was used in the textbook, when each letter of the alphabet is assigned a separate code name , for example, A — Alpha, B — Bravo, O — Oscar, and so on.
