MOSCOW, May 11. Honored coach of Russia in figure skating Eteri Tutberidze was banned from going out on the ice rink in the United States, where her daughter trains, according to the Reddit portal. Last week it became known that Tutberidze would go to Boston and visit a figure skating club. It is there that the French choreographer Benoit Richaud puts on a program for her daughter Diana Davis. At the same time, the coach will not be able to go on the ice.
"Tutberidze can come and watch the process from the podium. However, she, like any parent, will be required to follow our rules. Parents are forbidden to be on the ice or stand at the side", the director of the rink, Rebecca Stump, said in an email.
Tutberidze's daughter is 19 years old, she performs in ice dancing with Gleb Smolkin. At the last Olympics, figure skaters took 14th place.
