Ukrainian troops shelled the Petrovsky district of Donetsk and the village of Panteleymonovka with 122-mm shells on Tuesday morning, the representative office of the Donetsk People's Republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Cessation Regime reports on its Telegram channel fire (STsKK). The blow to Panteleymonovka was delivered at 06.10 from the settlement of Novgorodskoye, eight shells were fired in total. Ten minutes later, Ukrainian formations fired four shells at the capital of the DPR. This is the second shelling of Donetsk in the morning. Earlier, the Ukrainian security forces attacked the Kuibyshev region. Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin called its goal «the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.» For this, according to him, it is planned to carry out «demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine», to bring to justice all war criminals responsible for «bloody crimes against civilians» in Donbass. According to the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces strike only at military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops.
