MOSCOW, May 19, Andrey Senchenko. Head of the Russian Hockey Federation (RHF) Vladislav Tretiak on Thursday was unanimously re-elected president of the organization for four years, a source in the FHR said. The reporting and election conference of the FHR was held on Thursday in Moscow, 140 delegates took part in the conference. Tretyak was the only candidate for the post.
Before the elections, Tretiak made a report on the work done by the FHR in 2018-2022. After the re-election, the president of the FHR presented a program for 2022-2026. Tretyak, a three-time Olympic hockey champion as part of the USSR national team, has been head of the FHR since April 2006, he was re-elected to the post in 2010, 2014 and 2018. Tretyak is a ten-time world champion, nine-time European champion , a member of the NHL Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto (1989), the best hockey player of the 20th century according to the International Ice Hockey Federation, a member of the IIHF Hall of Fame (1997).
