19 May, 14:08 two Mi-8 helicopters and a group of specialists flew to Turkey to carry out tasks to extinguish fires in ecosystems. And on May 21 they arrived at their destination. The Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that cooperation between Belarus and Turkey in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations has many years of experience. In 2021, during the elimination of fires in the Republic of Turkey, Belarusian aviators performed 295 sorties with a total flight time of more than 468 hours, carried out 1,514 discharges of water on fires, and delivered 740 rescue teams to the fire sites.
