Earlier it was reported that Poland handed over several hundred of its T-72 tanks to Ukraine. «We handed over our tanks to Ukraine, a very large number, we made this decision, because we considered it our duty as a neighbor of Ukraine to provide such necessary urgent assistance. Thus, we have reduced our defense potential, our reserves. We expect that we will receive support from NATO, the United States, as well as Germany,» Duda said, speaking at the economic forum in Davos. He specified that at present the vast majority tanks in service with the Polish army are the German Leopard vehicles. «If our allies from Germany supported us with some batch of tanks instead of those that we gave to Ukraine, we would be grateful. There was such a promise. And now we hear that Germany does not want to keep this promise. This is a disappointment for us» , — said the Polish president.
