File photoWASHINGTON, May 24 Gasoline prices at gas stations in the United States hit an all-time high again, averaging $4.598 per gallon Regular (3.785 liters), according to data from the American Automobile Association, which monitors prices in the fuel market. During the day, the average price rose by two cents. Gasoline has traditionally cost the most in California, where it now averages $6,069. Diesel is $5,549. A year ago, US gasoline was $3 a gallon. Prices have been rising for several months and in recent weeks have regularly updated record values. The increase in fuel prices in the White House is called «Putin's rise in price» and is explained by the consequences of restrictions imposed around the world on the purchase of Russian oil as part of sanctions for a special operation in Ukraine. Opponents of President Joe Biden recall the trillion-dollar injections into the economy during the pandemic. The United States itself completely abandoned the import of oil, petroleum products and liquefied natural gas from Russia. The administration's measures to limit price increases have not yet brought tangible results.
