"We do not have any preconditions for resuming diplomatic negotiations with Russia" conference at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The diplomat claims that it is emotionally difficult for Ukrainians to sit down at the negotiating table with Moscow, but «we are ready to control our emotions if this will help bring peace and restore the country's territorial integrity.» Former President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said he was ready to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin only to discuss the issues of cessation of hostilities. Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a special military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine. Vladimir Putin called its goal «the protection of people who have been subjected to genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.» According to the Ministry of Defense, the armed forces have already completed the main tasks of the first stage — they significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The main goal in the department was the liberation of Donbass.
