The Supreme Economic Council of the Eurasian Economic Council (EAEU) decided to start negotiations with Indonesia on concluding a free trade agreement, the Information Support Department of the Protocol and Institutional Support Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission said on Friday .“The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council has decided to start negotiations with the Republic of Indonesia on concluding a free trade agreement,” the report says. The meeting of the Council was held on Friday via videoconference. It was attended by the leaders of all five member countries of the union — Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and Armenia, as well as the heads of two observer states: Uzbekistan and Cuba.
