Mariupol. File photoPARIS, May 30. French President Emmanuel Macron announced the death of French BFMTV journalist Frédéric Leclerc-Imhoff in Ukraine.
"Journalist Frédéric Leclerc-Imhoff was in Ukraine to show the reality war. He was mortally wounded on the bus with humanitarian aid", he wrote on twitter.
BFMTV reported that the 32-year-old journalist came under fire in the Luhansk region. According to the Parisien newspaper, his colleague, editor Maxim Brandshetter, who accompanied him, was injured and was evacuated to the Dnieper. Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a special military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine. As Vladimir Putin emphasized, its goal is “to protect people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.” According to the Ministry of Defense, the Russian military has completed the main tasks of the first stage — significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The main goal in the department was called the liberation of Donbass.
