Alexey Stukalov touchingly said goodbye to Ufa

MOSCOW, May 30. Alexey Stukalov, former head coach of Ufa football club wished the Bashkir team a speedy return to the Russian Premier League (RPL). On Monday, the specialist terminated the contract with the team that was relegated to the Football National League (FNL). The decision was made by mutual agreement of the parties. «A difficult season has ended. Unfortunately, one minute was not enough for us to keep our registration in the Russian Premier League for the second year in a row. There have been ups and downs this season. I am very grateful to everyone, who worked in the club next to me with great desire and dedication. I am grateful to you, the fans, for your support in sorrow and in joy. I really wish Ufa to solve the problem of returning to the RPL next season, because such a republic, and such fans deserve it,» the coach said in a video message to the fans published on the club's Telegram channel. Stukalov took charge of Ufa in April 2021 and saved the team from relegation to the FNL. In the 2021/22 season, the club, led by a 38-year-old specialist, got into the play-offs, in which they lost to Orenburg (2:2, 1:2) a place in the RPL.
