Archival photoMOSCOW, May 31.Documents of escaped members of the Security Service of Ukraine were found in the DPR, which contain materials about the surveillance of foreign diplomats and attempts to recruit them, Deputy Minister of Information of the republic Daniil Bezsonov said on Tuesday.
"Today I published a document about the surveillance of two German diplomats. One of them is an employee of the German Embassy in Ukraine, and the other is a very interesting person, he is a representative of the trilateral contact group in the Normandy format, an economic adviser,” he said on Channel One.
According to him, the published footage represent external surveillance of diplomats. “Moreover, I want to say separately that there are a lot of such videos on other diplomats, including videos from their hotel rooms and other places where they live, from restaurants where they appear. The only thing is that not all of the documents will be published in an understandable reasons,” said the representative of the DPR. Bezsonov believes that these actions were carried out in order to subsequently influence foreign representatives with the help of compromising evidence. In addition, the SBU conducted surveillance of the OSCE staff. Russia launched a special operation in Ukraine on February 24th. President Vladimir Putin called its goal «the protection of people who have been subjected to genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.» According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the main tasks of the first stage have already been completed — Ukraine's combat potential has been significantly reduced.
