MOSCOW, 1 Jun. Tony McGregor, father of former UFC champion Conor McGregor, has been critical of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The reason was Zelensky's statement at a meeting with Irish politicians, during which the President of Ukraine announced that he had ceased to be a McGregor fan because of his photo with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"Zelensky, mind your own business and keep Conor's name away from his mouth", McGregor's father wrote on social media.
McGregor is currently recovering from a broken ankle sustained in his third fight against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. According to foreign media reports, the fighter may return to the octagon in the fall.
