
MOSCOW, Jun 1 Poland national football team defeats Wales in opening game of the new season of the League of Nations. The meeting of group 4 of league A, held on Wednesday in Wroclaw, Poland, ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the hosts. Jakub Kamiński (72nd minute) and Karol Sviderski (85th) scored goals in the winning team. The guests scored Jonathan Williams (52). The teams of Belgium and the Netherlands also play in group 4. The Russian team was excluded from the list of participants in the League of Nations after the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee, which suspended all Russian national and club teams from competitions under its auspices until the end of the season in May -2022/23. In connection with this decision, the Russian national team will leave Division B of the League of Nations and drop down to League C.
