File photoMOSCOW, June 2Moscow will not leave unanswered the ban on the broadcasting of three Russian TV channels in the EU under the sixth package of sanctions, said State Secretary, Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov. «In any case, that's it these so-called sanctions, which they themselves are probably already tired of inventing new ones, they, of course, will not go unanswered. What exactly this answer will be, our relevant structures and departments will decide,» Ivanov told reporters, answering a question about the possibility Russia's mirror measures to ban the broadcasting of three TV channels in the European Union. On the night of May 31, EU leaders reached a political agreement on the sixth package of sanctions, which includes, among other things, the gradual introduction of an embargo on oil imports from Russia. The ban will affect only deliveries by sea, and oil coming through the Druzhba pipeline is not subject to restrictions. Nevertheless, according to the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, by the end of the year, the EU expects to abandon almost 90% of Russian oil imports. And earlier on Thursday, the EU Permanent Representatives approved the legal texts of this package.
