Archival photoDONETSK, June 7 Due to shelling by Ukrainian troops, seven civilians of the DPR were killed and 16 were injured in a day, the representative office of the republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the ceasefire regime reported on its Telegram channel (JCCC).
"During June 6, 2022, updated information was received through the operational lines of the JCCC of the DPR about seven dead and 16 wounded civilians as a result of shelling of settlements of the republic", the publication says.
According to the department, during this period, four residents of the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, two residents of Makeevka and a resident of the Kalininsky district of the city of Gorlovka became victims of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the same time, two women were injured in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, five people in the Kievsky district of the capital of the republic, two in Yasinovataya, three in Makeevka and four in Gorlovka. Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a military special operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine. Vladimir Putin called its goal «the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.» According to the Ministry of Defense, the Russian army has already completed the main tasks of the first stage — it significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The ministry called the liberation of Donbass the main goal.
