South Korean president appoints new ambassador to Russia

File photoSEUL, Jun 7 South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol on Tuesday appointed Jang Ho-jin, former secretary of the head of state for diplomatic affairs, ex-ambassador to Cambodia, as ambassador to Russia, the office of the President of the Republic of Korea said. Yoon Sok Yeol made a number of appointments on Monday and Tuesday. Ambassadors of South Korea to China, Japan and the UN were also appointed. According to the presidential administration, Jang Ho-jin, born in 1961, graduated from Seoul National University, previously served not only as an ambassador to Cambodia, but also as secretary for diplomatic affairs in the presidential administration, and also head of the North American Department of the Foreign Ministry.
