Supporters of the Moldovan opposition hold protests almost daily, expressing dissatisfaction with the economic situation in the country. The opposition accuses the authorities of inaction. On Tuesday, protesters picketed the building of the Ministry of Finance, not only residents of Chisinau, but also other settlements took part in the action. The demonstrators chanted: “No price increase!”, “Stop the price increase!”, “Resign the government”, etc. The participants of the action held posters on which the current prices of basic goods were indicated. MP Petru Burduja, who spoke at the meeting, said that the Minister Finance Dumitru Budiansky has not kept his promises and is not coping with the economic crisis in the country. «This minister in parliament said that inflation in 2022 will be 6%, and we already have 27%, the National Bank predicts an even higher percentage. The Republican Council of the Party decided to seek her resignation,» Burduzha said. Closing the rally, Socialist MP Vladimir Odnostalko said that the protests would continue, the opposition would seek the resignation of the entire government.
