MOSCOW, June 7 Japanese Naoya Inoue knocked out Filipino Nonito Donaire in the second round and unified the titles of the World Boxing Council (WBC), the World Boxing Association (WBA) and the International Boxing Federation (IBF) in the bantamweight division. The fight took place in Tokyo and was ended ahead of schedule in the second round when Inoue knocked out his opponent.Inoue, holding the WBA Super and IBF titles, took away the WBC belt from Donaire. The opponents have previously met in 2019, Inoue won by unanimous decision after 12 rounds.
Undefeated Inoue is 29 years old, he won 23 victories (20 by knockout) in the professional ring. Donaire, 39, suffered his seventh career defeat (second by knockout) with 42 wins.
