File photoWARSAW, Jun 8 One in five people in Poland intends to forego a holiday trip due to rising prices, according to a survey conducted by the sociological laboratory United Surveys. Inflation in Poland in May was 13.9% in annual terms. This is the highest growth since the end of the 90s. According to the survey, more than half (57.5%) of those surveyed do not intend to change their vacation plans due to rising prices. 21.9% of respondents will refuse to go on vacation. 7.5% of respondents will shorten their vacation trip, and 6.1% will spend their holidays in their own country instead of going abroad. At the same time, 3.5% decided to go abroad during their holidays instead of resting at home, as there are tourist destinations where holidays are cheaper than in Poland.The increase in fuel prices in the United States doubled the cost of farmers' sowing3.3% of respondents found it difficult to answer the question about vacation plans.
